Prodigious Academy Philosophy
Making A Difference
Children who attend child care have the same outcomes as children who are cared for at home. Whether a child attends daycare or not, it is the family that has a major impact on their child’s development, with the parents’ interactions with the child being a critically important factor. This is critical to understand when considering a safe place for a child. For a parent or guardian perspective but it is equally as important to a center . As we know that a child development occurs between birth and five years of age so fo and provider that understand the importance of ensuring a child reaches their full potential with in this growth cycle. .With this side, Prodigious along with many other centers has made every child a top priority to ensure tat their first five years of life creates success that will last a life time.
The Science of play
Motivated to learn through the environment
Children are natural investigators. As infants, they learn to pick up and examine objects and crawl around to explore the world. When they begin to daydream, they imagine searching the depths of the ocean, traveling to distant planets and going back in time to see dinosaurs. Children’s minds are wired for creative learning (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics), and they are naturally fascinated by those subjects and enjoy exploring them.
The Creative concepts in early childhood helps children develop a strong foundation for their future education and a passion for learning. We build on children’s curiosity by incorporating learning through play using play-based activities to make academics success accessible and fun.
When children build a castle with blocks, they are not just playing; they are developing engineering, creativity and critical-thinking skills. When children play with blocks together, they are strengthening their communication and collaboration skills.

Our Programs
STEM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) has become a vital part of early childhood education because these subjects help prepare children for life in the 21st century. STEM-related jobs are included in the fastest-growing industries in the U.S. economy . The number of STEM-related jobs is expected to increase by the time your children grow up and join the workforce.
We introduce STEM early on to help children develop an interest in and passion for these subjects, which may encourage them to pursue STEM-related careers. STEM learning also helps children develop communication, collaboration, creativity and critical-thinking skills, which are valuable in any career path.
Our Testimonials
10 years ago, I met Ms. Danelle and Ms. Doris after I enrolled my daughter to a local learning facility.
We’d recently relocated from Los Angeles, Ca to Columbus, OH for a fresh start. Like most mothers, I
solitarily debated for months about whether it was too soon to leave my baby in the care of virtual
strangers without having solid knowledge of their background or intent. I will admit that I called at least
once or twice per day for the first few weeks after my daughter’s enrollment.
Over the months as we all began to build a rapport it became obvious that Ms. Danelle and Ms. Doris
genuinely enjoyed working with the kids. Each of them lighting up as parents entered to drop their
children off for the day! Names were memorized, positive structure was provided, and comfort was
given when children were unsure of this new place and vehemently protested their parents leaving as
most kids do. My daughter would excitedly recount events from her day on those rides home after
school.
We became so fond of each another that at times one or the other could sense I was having a rough
day. There was a moment during my time in Ohio when things took a turn for the worse- money was
beyond extremely tight and it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain even the slightest bill. I
remember watching my daughter during her graduation ceremony, feeling disheartened because I knew
I could not afford to take her anywhere to celebrate her accomplishment. As we “made our rounds” at
the end of the ceremony I was given a gift of immense compassion, consideration, understanding, and
support from these two women. It was sincerely heartfelt, and humbling. I can truly say their act of
kindness cemented my everlasting love, admiration, and respect for their place in our lives- not only as
great foundational educators for my child but as friends and women whom truly care for the children
they interact with and teach daily.
